Submissions

Thanks for your interest in contributing to the Aussie Scrapbooking blog. Please review our guidelines below prior to submitting your item. (The submission form is located below the guidelines.)

What’s Likely To Get Published

  • Reader Questions – Submit a scrapping question you’d like me answer on the blog.
  • Articles – Share your scrapbooking experience or explain how you’ve solved a particular scrapbooking problem.
  • Tutorials – Demonstrate a scrapbooking, stamping or other papercrafting technique.
  • Reviews – Give us your opinion of a scrapbooking product you’ve used or recommend a scrapbooking book you’ve read.
  • News – Competitions, design teams calls, cybercrops, classes, retreats, fundraising events etc.
  • Suggestions – Got another idea? I’m open to suggestions, but please keep them “G” rated. ;)

What’s UN-likely To Get Published

  • Non-Original Content – If you’ve already submitted your item somewhere else, that’s great – but please do not copy & paste and submit it again here. If you’d like to get the same basic facts out to Aussie readers, please re-word your submission so it is unique for the Aussie blog. (Why? It’s called “duplicate content”. Search engines don’t like it and can penalise sites harshly for it.)
  • Inadequate Notice – If your item is time critical (eg details of an event) please submit the information at least 48-72 hours before it becomes obsolete. At times I’m busy (like anyone else) and the chances are I may not get to it in time to review it, much less get it published.
  • Poor Writing/Language – Please try to use proper sentences, punctuation and grammar in your submission. English would be good too. If I have trouble reading what you’ve submitted, it’s not going to get published.
  • Missing Or Incomplete Content – Please provide as much information as possible including a valid link to your site, blog or store (you wouldn’t believe how many people actually forget this!) Don’t assume I necessarily know what you’re talking about. Chances are I don’t. It’s better to provide too much information than not enough.
