What’s Your Card Colour?

Mistra Hoolahan

We all have our fave brand, fave patterned paper, fave embellishment, but I rarely hear talk about our fave cardstock colour! Is the humble sheet of bazzill is too boring to be on the fave’s list!?! Surely not! For me my plain cardstock is comparable to an art canvas, it’s the start of all my creations… I couldn’t scrap without it {well ok, except when I’m using a patterned background}!!

Cardstock

(Read on...)

So long as I have cardstock I can scrap. You can use it as it is, tear it, distress it, stamp it, heat emboss it, run it through your beloved Cuttlebugs, ink it, colour it in, cut it, punch it! It’s the most versatile scrap product you'll ever have in your stash!

I've discovered I have a big time fave cardstock colour…it’s not only apparent from flicking through my albums…but is very obvious when I take inventory of what I have!! I’m sure there’s one you have as well, it’s that one colour that you make sure you never run out of, the one colour you remember the name of…maybe Raven or White; perhaps the very funky Bahama? It’s that one colour that if it does somehow run out, not one other shade quite cuts the grade and you are left mourning until you can get to your LSS…and beware LSS owner if they are out of stock!!

Mine is Kraft – plain, simple & uncomplicated Kraft. For some people it’s boring…but for me it’s like the little black dress of the cardstock world; it goes with everything {from neutrals to brights…it can cope with them all} and is perfect for any occasion…well until you run out of it as I just did today…I’m a little devo’d! There’s 2 sheets left on the shop shelves and I’m really going to have to make them mine!

So what’s your fave cardstock colour? Even if you don’t think you have one, have a flick through your albums, you’ll likely find one popping up more than others!!

Browsing through my albums I think I'm a dark navy fan, closely followed by deep purple.  And LOOOOVE big piles of Bazzil. - any colour.

Well it depends on which album I'm looking at! If it is Ashley's it is Pink and shade! If it is luke's it is Blue again any shade! So I don't really have a favourite! I think I might just have to find one! :)

Mmmmm now thats the million $ question, isnt't it!  I guessed yours correctly though Mistra, first colour came to mind - KRAFT. haha.

I use most colours except pink, black and white - but I really do like Lagoon and Peanut and use lots of browns and greens but I really don't have one i use more than the others out of the 200+ sheets I have in stock GRIN.

Oh that's an easy question for me. Limeade and I've run out. Argggg. Out of all the colours this would be the one I use the most. I use it for both DD & LM as it goes with most colours I like.

I love white CS for background, Its versatile and anything go's......always handy when you can never decide what color you want!!

However lately I have been using heaps of PP as the background and not a lot of CS, really should get back into using CS as the base of my LO's again!!
