Scrapbook Packing For A Plane Flight!
So you have read the title and thought...what???? Well some of you might be aware that I am heading to the West for a week of relaxation, rest and lots of scrapping!!
Yep thats right, no hubby, kids, housework, or any other everyday job that I do, just one glorious week to myself to do what I want to do...and that of course is “SCRAP”.
So where do you start when trying to pack a desk full of all your favorite scrapping supplies and endless boxes of bits and pieces that you use in your everyday scrapping into a shoulder tote and tool tote??
(Read on...)

Well I can assure you it's not as easy as you think. Take the last couple of nights for instance...I sat at the desk for hours and thought maybe I would be better off just packing photos and my basic tool kit and purchasing what I need when I get there. But then I think I need my tin of journal tags, I need my box of buttons, I need this and I need that...arrrrrgh it all became too much.
So after some careful consideration I managed to sort the endless supply of pictures, pattern paper, embellishments and everything else I have and created some small kits...In other words I have basically packed everything and really could have left some of the supplies at home.
I thought that packing this time around would be easier as I attended the Scrapboxx Retreat in March and packing for that seemed like a nightmare, but this time I am not attending a retreat, its just a chill out week with Mistra from MaDscraps. With an endless array of supplies at MaDscraps I could take the easy way out...pack an empty suitcase, run the bill sky high and hey presto problem solved, but I felt that I just needed to take some of those much wanted and loved supplies.
You also have to remember that packing for a plane flight involves consideration of airline safety. Things like scissors, craft knives, glues etc that are classed as sharp or hazardous cannot be carried on as cabin luggage...can you see it now...mother of 4 goes bonkers armed with a craft knife and tube of Pritt Gel during mid flight LOL!!! No this is serious, I make sure that I pack anything NOT sharp or hazardous into my suitcase and then padlock the case closed.
So how do you pack when the crop that you're attending involves a plane flight??? Any suggestions or ideas from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
Regards Karen xx
