2. There is a whole lot to be learned from amazing photographers...ideas for themes and close ups and colour schemes, even just new angles to shoot from. Two of the best here in Australia are Rachel Richter,
http://www.rachelrichter.blogspot.com/
and Donna Wild.

Talent in abundance, and a tenderness and a softness in the way they shoot each special subject. Go and be inspired!
(Read on for more...)
3. As regular readers of mine will know, I am very pro self-expression, and VERY pro art about yourself.
This book fascinated me, both for the richness of artistic expression, AND the fact that all the pieces were SELF portraits. FABULOUS!

Ooh also...if you are in Brisbane...make sure you take the time to go see the Picasso' collection exhibit at the GOMA...

some of the most amazing art...and better still...photographs of the man himself interacting with his art collection. Totally worth a few hours of your time.
and finally this quote...by the man himself, and one of my favourites.
“Each second we live is a new and unique moment of the universe, a moment that will never be again. And what do we teach our children? We teach them that two and two make four, and that Paris is the capital of France. When will we also teach them what they are? We should say to each of them: Do you know what you are? You are a marvel. You are unique. In all the years that have passed, there has never been another child like you. Your legs, your arms, your clever fingers, the way you move. You may become a Shakespeare, a Michelangelo, a Beethoven. You have the capacity for anything. Yes, you are a marvel. And when you grow up, can you then harm another who is, like you, a marvel? You must work, we must all work, to make the world worthy of its children.”
Pablo Picasso
Beautiful.
Until next week,
peace.
Ngaire.
