Cyber Crops

I LOVE a good cyber crop…nothing gets me motivated more than being told what to do, with a deadline to do it in! Not all Cyber Crops are the same; the ones I have attended are very different to each other. Some are full on, with massive amounts of chatter, mountains of challenges and games, big prizes up for grabs and a lot of competition, others are smaller and easier going with an emphasis on getting some mojo flowing and stretching some creative boundaries - these smaller ones are my favourites.
I love the motivation, but I also love the idea that there is a community of us around Australia, and in some cases the world…all scrapping the same thing at the same time, and each of us producing something totally different from the other. I love the feeling of unity it gives. I love the ‘me’ time, the uniform {jammies}, the special treats {red rocks, red frogs, chicos and sarsaparilla}…it all sums up to a special weekend without having to leave home!

I’ve even been lucky enough to be on the ‘administrative’ side of a few cyber crops…and unless you’ve done it as well you have no idea what a huge buzz it is to set challenges, help others with ideas and see the work produced for the challenge/s you created. It is FUN and so very rewarding! I love the camaraderie that is created, the special little things regular members include to make it special, such as our special food treats and whether we are in standard scrap uniform, what the ‘mascot’ is getting up too…fun silly things such as that!!
Whichever side of a Cyber Crop you are on I’m sure you love them…and if you’ve not attended one before, find one and jump on in! Cyber Crops are advertised here on the Aussie Blog quite regularly, so try them out and see what kind suits you!
If you’re a die-hard Cyber Cropper…what is it you love most about the Cyber Crops you go to, is it the challenges, the chatter, games or is the chance to win some prizes {mmmmm scrapping yummies} your draw-card!?! Mine would be the excuse to sit in my jammies all day and eat red frogs, which reminds me…best stock up on them and get some photos printed for the next Cyber Crop I’m playing at!!
