I’ve come across a few newish scrapbooking blogs in the past couple of days. (It seems like they’re popping up on a daily basis, doesn’t it?) Anyway, here’s a few I thought Aussie readers might enjoy.
Practical Scrappers – This blog describes itself as:
…dedicated to making use of the supplies that we already have and are neglecting…
Ahh…now that’s music to my ears. Weekly challenges prompt you to use a specific or embellishment tool. Visit the blog here.
Creative Cookbooking – For something a bit different, this weekly challenge blog will be encouraging you to scrap your favourite recipes and create your own personal cookbook. What a fabulous idea! It kicks off shortly, so to read up on all the details, go here.
Point Blank Period – This is a throw-everything-in-including-the-kitchen-sink monthly challenge blog. I have a headache just contemplating their very first challenge – so I think I’m gonna pass for the moment! The first challenge involves:
- A prompt – “Life is so much more than a box. So think outside of it.”
- A journal prompt (? huh) – “Let go of your comfort zones what do you thnk holds you back from being a better person …or are you already exploding to the new and better you?”
- Some “rules” – use bright colours and blue, use ribbons or buttons and bling, use black & white photo
- Some “twists” – no bigger than 8.5″ x 11″ or art journal size and “elaborate” on your brightest color
Sheesh! They don’t expect very much, do they? If you’re game enough to want to take a closer look, you can investigate further here. I’ll just sit here and procrastinate over this challenge a bit longer thanks.
Cutting Above – This blog’s a niche “news” blog dedicated to scrapbooking and die cutting machines including the Cricut, Silhouette, Wishblade and other scrapbooking tools. (Mmmmmm…my interest is peaked since I own two different die cutting machines. *blush*) To check it out for yourself, you can visit here.
I hope you find some of them useful!
