If you haven’t already, you must go to Ali Edwards’ blog and read all about her December Daily album concept. For the second year in a row, Ali is leading scrapbookers all over the world in creating a mini album to document each day in December leading up to Christmas.

Read all about it here.

(Read on…)

Ali is the queen of quick, easy and meaningful mini albums. She’s an expert at extracting the meaning from everyday life and recording it to look back on in years to come.

I love how she takes you through creating the December Daily album stage by stage. She encourages you to use bits and pieces from your stash and mix up page shapes, sizes and textures. What you finish with is a just-add-photos-and-journaling album so you can focus on creating the memories of this year’s festive season and enjoying yourself.

My own version of this album is slightly different, not having a page for each day but ample room to room to record my daughter’s first Christmas.

The inspiration isn’t just limited to Ali’s blog. There’s a Flickr group dedicated to December Daily and a search in most online galleries will yield even more versions of this project that will spark your creativity.

Even though it’s already December, it’s not too late to construct your own December Daily or similar album. You’ll be so thankful you did!

By the way, you can see my whole album in detail on my blog at gaillindner.typepad.com.
