Not long ago, we saw For Keeps Creative Scrapbooking magazine evolve into For Keeps Creative Paper. Now Scrapbook Creations Magazine is also set to make significant changes to its regular format. Publisher, Universal Magazines, has announced that from Issue 57 (Aug 2008) Scrapbook Creations magazine will introduce SEVEN new regular features…
The new features are:
- Trend Talk – Showcasing the latest trends and hot new products with projects from both overseas and Australia
- One Product, Four Ways – One product used four ways along with tips and techniques
- Feel-Good Scrapping – Articles on how scrapbooking can touch people’s lives
- Who’s Who Of Scrapbooking – Profiles of elite scrapbookers with three works created exclusively for Scrapbook Creations
- Sketch Book – A sketch with sample layouts by a guest artist
- Organised Scrapper – A look at how to organise and store scrapbooking supplies effectively
- How-To Info – All articles, layouts & projects will apparently contain more information on the “art” of scrapbooking
The magazine will also jump in size from 146 to 172 pages.
On the surface of things, it sounds like Universal Magazines, has been listening to its readership and is attempting to meet their needs. (Being a lover of sketches, I’m particularly keen to see the new sketch section!)
It will be interesting to see if these new features live up to our expectations, given the mixed response to the new issues of For Keeps Creative Paper recently. Perhaps Scrapbook Creations can do a better job of it? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
