Well I have a secret I want to share with you… and it’s free!
Thought I would share with you a site called Freecycle.org. It’s an organization that was set up so people could give (and get) ’stuff’ for free. Stuff that people no longer wanted or needed. Freecycle is worldwide and there are online groups in most places around our wonderful country.
It is simple to find a group near you and just as easy to join a Yahoo! Group and start giving. The first step is to go to their webpage, http://www.freecycle.org/, then enter your area into the ‘Find a group near you’ box. Once you have found a group near you, you join the Yahoo! Group and then you’re free to give away or make a request. You just have to remember it is all about the items being free and that you can’t be greedy and ask for too many things, oh and I am yet to see a Ferrari on the free list…lol.
What I love about this concept is that it is recycling in the best way possible, it is giving to someone that truly wants it, and it really works.
So there you go, my secret is out and feel free to pass it on to others as it is a great way to be a little ‘green’ without too much fuss.
