Aussie Blog Inspiration

Like many scrapbookers, I blog hop. Not obsessed with it, but I still do it every now and then. I use Bloglines.

If you haven’t heard of Bloglines, it is a website that keeps you updated with your favourite blogs. It is FREE to use, and all you do is go to the website, register, and then start adding  the URLs of your favourite blogs to the feeds list. The next time your favourite blogger updates her blog with a new post, you can see it in your Bloglines feeds that she has posted, and you can go check it out.

One of the favourite blogs I visit, is Kim Arnold’s {Time with Us}. Kim and I have been cyber scrap friends for about 2 years now. For the 2.5 years I’ve been scrapping, I have been on 3 design teams together with her. We started our "affair" from Scrap Pile, then For Keeps Creative Scrapbooking magazine and currently, Scrapware.

Her style of scrapping is always simple but with a lot of punch. Emphasising on large and/or multiple photos is one of her many fortes. She also leaves a lot of room for breathing space on her layout, so you can draw your attention and appreciate the few embellishments, and or the use of 1 or 2 segments of patterned paper. Without a doubt, it’s simplicity, but ever so eye-catching.

The blog is also and always filled with gorgeous photographs of her family, especially her son. I never tire myself of admiring her photography as well as layouts. They always make me feel very warm and grounded, like comfort food in winter.

Hope you enjoy her blog.
